Feeding Wandering Souls — Serving Tapasya, Blessing Your Path
What if you could feed those who carry the fire of penance within?
Sadhu / Yatri Bhoj is the sacred offering of food to monastics, sages, renunciates, and pilgrims those who have left behind comfort to walk the path of spiritual seeking. In Sanatan Dharma, Sadhus are not just ascetics; they are moving temples. Yatris are not just travelers; they are vessels of shraddha.
To feed one such soul is to honor the very spirit of tapasya, surrender, and dharma. They ask for little. Yet their hunger, when fulfilled, becomes a prayer returned in silence.
“Bhikshām dehi iti śabdānām, phalam mokṣa eva hi”
— The cry of a sadhu for food is not need—it is a chance for your liberation.
Sadhu / Yatri Bhoj is not charity. It is a spiritual exchange—your food, their blessing; your grain, their grace.

Detailed Information
When should you offer this?
Offer this Bhoj when:
• You are seeking spiritual upliftment or guidance in silence.
• You wish to reduce ego, karmic pride, or material attachment.
• You’re navigating life transitions, career changes, separation, retreat, or healing.
• On sacred travel dates, Kumbh, Chardham Yatra, Kanwar, or Amarnath.
• When you feel called to serve those who walk for the world’s salvation.
Sadhu Bhoj is timeless. These souls appear when you are ready to give without seeking return.
Who should you feed?
This Bhoj is meant for:
• Sadhus, saints, wandering renunciates, especially during their travels or Chaturmas periods.
• Pilgrims walking barefoot or on yatra across India’s tirthas.
• Bairagis, Naga Babas, Vaishnavs, Shivaites, and those living by alms.
• Women renunciates or sadhvis, when served with respect and sanctity.
Feeding them requires humility, purity, and silence. Let your food carry your bhav.
Blessing you Invite?
When you offer to Sadhus and Yatris:
• You receive the blessings of lifelong tapasya without walking that road yourself.
• Subtle karmas dissolve, especially those tied to arrogance, indulgence, or ancestral residue.
• You attract spiritual mentors, right teachers, and timely guidance.
• The path ahead clears, not by force, but by surrender.
• Even one morsel can change your karmic direction, because you served a soul who asked for nothing.
To feed a Sadhu is to say: “I honour your renunciation… with my devotion.”
Is it right for me?
If you feel drawn to simplicity…
If you long to give in silence, without occasion…
If you’ve ever wished to serve beyond ritual, this is your Bhoj.
You may never wear ochre. You may never take up a yatra. But if you feel awe for those who do, your Annadaan becomes your pilgrimage.
This Bhoj isn't grand. It is quite gracious.
What you’ll receive?
Each Sadhu / Yatri Bhoj via DharamKarm comes with:
• A Seva Report (PDF) with the offering date, recipient type, and optional Sankalp.
• Candid photos or short clips of your offering in authentic yatra sites or akhadas.
• A serene knowing: You fed a being who walks not for themselves, but for the world.
This isn’t a donation. It’s devotion in motion.
A story of faith
During the last Kumbh Mela, a woman from Pune offered Bhoj in memory of her Guru, who had once lived among the Naga Sadhus. Through DharamKarm, she fed 51 Sadhus.
She didn’t expect anything. But days later, while meditating, she heard her Guru’s voice:
“You offered back what was once given. The circle is now whole.”
Sometimes, you don’t know how deep a gesture goes… until it echoes back.
How to offer this via. DharamKarm?
We carry your offering to the heart of India’s spiritual paths:
• Choose to offer at Kumbh, Char Dham, Varanasi, Haridwar, or local Sadhu Akhadas.
• Select how many Sadhus or Yatris you wish to feed (e.g., 11, 21, 51, 101).
• Include a name, deity, or Guru’s sankalp if desired.
• Receive your Seva Report and visuals with reverence and simplicity.
You walk the world in shoes.
They walk barefoot.
This Bhoj lets you serve the dust on their feet.
